Gopher Baseball drops game 1 of Big Ten Tournament, faces Indiana Thursday afternoon

Losing 8-2 to Nebraska puts the Gophers in the losers bracket of BTT

gophersports.com

Minnesota dropped their opening game in the Big Ten tournament to Nebraska last night. An ugly game where the Gophers had 2 errors, while Patrick Fredrickson hit 2 batters, walked 2, had 1 wild pitch and gave up 8 runs (6 earned) in the first 2 23 innings.

The Gopher offense could not recover and just like that the Gophers were sent to the losers bracket with a long road to get back to the title game.

But we weren’t the only top seed to lose, in fact all 4 top seeds lost on Wednesday. Which makes the path to the title game that much more challenging.

Minnesota gets 1-seed Indiana Thursday at 1:00.

Sam Thoreson takes the hill and the Gophers look to eliminated the Hoosiers.
