Last(?) but not least, Georgia safety Michael Dixon has grabbed an oar and climbed into the boat this weekend, committing to play for head coach P.J. Fleck and the Minnesota Golden Gophers while on campus for an official visit.

Scouting Report
Dixon possesses good instincts and shows good vision, adept at reading the quarterback’s eyes and making a play on the ball. Having played both cornerback and safety in high school — although he is expected to end up at safety in college — he has proven himself capable in both zone and man coverages, displaying a closing speed that allows him to effectively jump routes. My biggest qualm is that he is not quite as polished a tackler as I’d like for a safety, frequently delivering shoulder tackles rather than wrapping up.
Dixon was also the fourth-highest rated performer at The Opening Atlanta Combine back in March, finishing with a 4.56 40-yard dash and a 37-9 inch vertical.
