With the Minnesota Golden Gophers football team’s magical 37-15 win over Wisconsin in Madison last November, Minnesota got to take home the biggest prize of all. The Gophers are in possession of Paul Bunyan’s Axe for the first time since 2004, and they have not been shy about showing it off to Minnesota fans. The Axe has made multiple appearances on campus for fans to hold it and take pictures with it. Now it is time for those in outstate Minnesota to get their chance to touch one of the most famous rivalry trophies in all of college football.
The Axe will make nine different stops in greater Minnesota over the next two weeks. It will travel to all corners of the state and allow Minnesota fans of all ages to have their chance to hold it in their hands. If you can make it to one of these nine spots...it’s highly worth it.
