Minnesota defensive back Antoine Winfield Jr. has announced that he will forego his final two years of eligibility and declare for the 2020 NFL Draft. The decision, announced via Instagram this morning, should come as no surprise to Gopher fans.

Winfield was a first-team Associated Press All-American this season, in addition to being named the Big Ten’s Tatum-Woodson Defensive Back of the Year and a unanimous selection for first-team All-Big Ten. He rebounded from back-to-back seasons in which he suffered season-ending injuries to lead the team in total tackles with 85, and led all Big Ten defensive backs (and ranked fourth nationally) with seven interceptions. No one else in the Big Ten recorded more than three.

What will you remember most from Antoine Winfield Jr.’s career at Minnesota?
