Welcome to a new year of crystal ball prognostication, everyone! I for one am extremely excited to be wrong on a regular basis when it comes to predicting what the Minnesota Golden Gophers will do each and every week, especially for what is certain to be a wild season in the year of our lord 2020. This week, of course, we pick how the No. 21-ranked Golden Gophers will fare in their season opener against the No. 18-ranked Michigan Wolverines.
The Predictions

This Week’s Thoughts
GoAUpher: JUG JUG JUG!
GopherNation: Defense struggles to get stops at the right time and offense doesn’t get going until the third quarter.
gopherguy05: I think the offenses will be a little ahead of the defenses right now. It will be a tight one but the Jug stays behind in Minneapolis.
Blake Ruane: I defer to my opponent preview.
Ustreet: I defer to Blake’s opponent preview.
zipsofakron: I put $50 on Michigan to win (emotional hedging), so I think we know how this ends.
WhiteSpeedReceiver: I feel like Michigan’s really gonna struggle to get going this year.
wildcat00: This is totally the year.
mowe0018: Offensive personnel continuity reigns supreme.
HipsterGopher: Just flipped the score to get revenge from the 2015 Halloween Little Brown Jug game.
Season “Records” So Far
