Minnesota Football: Rapid Recap - Gophers decimated by Iowa 35-7 and stuff

Iowa controlled, dominated and this game was never competitive.

NCAA Football: Iowa at Minnesota Jesse Johnson-USA TODAY Sports

Iowa never trailed and controlled this game from the start as they dominated Minnesota and held on to Floyd of Rosedale.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Iowa controlled the line of scrimmage (both of them). Averaging 6.7 yards per carry as they were pretty much unstoppable..

WHAT WHEN WRONG?

The Iowa offensive line absolutely dominated the Gopher front-7. Tyler Goodsen enjoyed a day of running for 5 yards before ever seeing a marron jersey.

Also, the offense sucked. Mohamed Ibrahim never got going and therefor the passing game never really got off the ground. The defense hasn’t been great this year, but the offense was held to zero points till very late in the 4th quarter.

So everything went wrong.

WHAT WENT RIGHT?

We didn’t miss an extra point.
