Tampa Bay rowed the boat after an interception. Rodney Smith got more run in Carolina. It was not a flashy week for the Gophers in the NFL but it wasn’t a bad one either. Here is our recap of how the former Minnesota Golden Gophers performed in Week 11 in the NFL and a look ahead to Week 12.
Maxx Williams— Tight End— Arizona Cardinals
Week 11 @ Seattle Seahawks (TNF)
Week 12 @ New England Patriots
Williams played 38 snaps in Arizona’s close loss to Seattle last Thursday. He had his best offensive game of the season catching both of his targets for 29 yards.
De’Vondre Campbell—Linebacker—Arizona Cardinals
Week 11 @ Seattle Seahawks (TNF)
Week 12 @ New England Patriots
Campbell played a season low 26 snaps in the loss and recorded just one tackle.
Chris Streveler—Quarterback—Arizona Cardinals
Week 11 @ Seattle Seahawks (TNF)
Week 12 @ New England Patriots
Streveler got into the game for one play this week for the first time since Week 2, but did not touch the ball.
Eric Murray-Safety Houston Texans
Week 11 vs New England Patriots
Week 12 @ Detroit Lions (Thanksgiving)
Murray played all 69 snaps for the seventh consecutive game helping Houston beat New England. Murray recorded three tackles and an assisted tackle in the game.
Damien Wilson—Linebacker—Kansas City Chiefs
Week 11 @ Las Vegas Raiders (SNF)
Week 12 @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Wilson played 48 snaps in KC’s come from behind win in Vegas. He recorded three solo and three assisted tackles in the win.
Blake Cashman—Linebacker—New York Jets
Week 11 @ Los Angeles Chargers
Week 12 vs Miami Dolphins
Cashman was inactive for the Jets game in LA last week.
Antoine Winfield Jr. —Safety—Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Week 10 @ Carolina Panthers
Week 11 vs Los Angeles Rams (MNF)
Week 12 vs Kansas City Chiefs
Winfield played 71 defensive snaps against the Rams and recorded four solo tackles and five assisted tackles. He also was on the field for this after a Tampa interception—though admittedly we expected a better rowing motion from him:

Tyler Johnson-WR-Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Week 10 @ Carolina Panthers
Week 11 vs Los Angeles Rams (MNF)
Week three of Tyler being the player being screwed the most by Tampa’s Antonio Brown signing continues as Johnson played just seven offensive snaps in Week 11 and it was the first week in seven weeks that he did not have a single target in the game.
Carter Coughlin-LB-New York Giants
Week 10 vs Philadelphia Eagles
Week 11 BYE
Week 12 @ Cincinnati Bengals
The Giants were on bye last week.
Ryan Santoso—K/P—New York Giants
Week 12 @ Cincinnati Bengals
The Giants did make some news last week on their bye. Their placekicker Graham Gano was placed on the COVID/Reserve list after testing positive. Then the Giants punter was added to the list as well last weekend. To replace him on the active roster the Giants activated former Gopher kicker/punter Ryan Santoso to the active roster. Gano could come off the list on Saturday meaning Santoso wouldn’t see any actual game action, but it’s something to watch as we head into the weekend.
Kamal Martin-LB-Green Bay Packers
Week 11 @ Indianapolis Colts
Week 12 vs Chicago Bears (SNF)
Martin played 22 snaps in the Packers OT loss to Indy last Sunday. He recorded three tackles and an assisted tackle in the loss.
Rodney Smith-RB-Carolina Panthers
Week 11 vs Detroit Lions
Week 12 @ Minnesota Vikings
Smith took advantage of the playing time he is recieveing as in nine offensive snaps he carried the ball eight times for 29 yards in the win over Detroit. Rodney and the Panthers head to Minneapolis this week to face the Vikings, but his workload may be significantly cut if Christian McCaffrey returns.
