Big Ten Power Poll-Week 3

Northwestern, Indiana, and Purdue are all 2-0. 2020 man

It’s been an appropriate 2020 season in the Big Ten. Indiana, Purdue, and Northwestern are all 2-0. Minnesota and Penn State are 0-2. Wisconsin didn’t play this week and might not again next week. It’s weird, man.

Here is how I see both the East and West divisions breaking down and then at the bottom I’ll rank all 14 teams in one list.

Big Ten West:

#1 Purdue Boilermakers

Purdue is in the drivers seat in the West because they beat Iowa and might not get to play Wisconsin this week. I got nothing...just amazing.

#2 Wisconsin Badgers

We will just drop the Badgers one spot for being infected this week, but if they miss the Purdue game on Saturday they may drop further.

#3 Northwestern Wildcats

Northwestern moves to 2-0 on the season with wins over Maryland and Iowa. Again...this is just weird.

#4 Iowa Hawkeyes

Iowa is 0-2 and is the #4 ranked team in the West. Yeah that’s brutal.

#5 Illinois Fighting Illini

Illinois kept it close with Purdue despite playing their second string QB. That deserves a jump over the hapless Gophers

#6 Minnesota Golden Gophers

The offense looked ok. The defense is insanely bad. They probably should be #7 but I’m still holding out some hope they can figure something out. A loss to Illinois and they are definitely cellar bound.

#7 Nebraska Cornhuskers

I’ll put the Huskers here just because they whine so damn much. If they could just take their losses with class then I’d consider them over Minnesota.

Big Ten East

#1 Ohio State Buckeyes

The Buckeyes make it two nice wins in a row by beating Penn State. They are the class of the league by far. In fact lets just cancel the rest of the season and give OSU the playoff berth now K?

#2 Indiana Hoosiers

Big win over PSU and then no let down against Rutgers. Could Indiana actually be....good?

#3 Michigan Wolverines

I’ll put them here for now but it’s obvious that Michigan isn’t as good as Minnesota is insanely bad. Losing to Sparty after they lost to Rutgers...woof.

#4 Penn State Nittany Lions

Yeah the are 0-2 but I refuse to think Penn State is worse than Rutgers and Michigan State.

#5 Michigan State Spartans

Sparty Yes? Beating the Wolverines in Ann Arbor is huge.

#6 Maryland Terrapins

Well it was ugly, just not for the right reasons. Probably giving the Terps too much credit for barely beating Minnesota, but here we are.

#7 Rutgers Scarlet Knights

A nice win over Sparty but they couldn’t quite beat Indiana. That gets them to fall to #7 after others won. Sucks.
