A week after rushing for 4 touchdowns and over 200 yards, Mohamed Ibrahim rushed for 4 touchdowns and over 200 yards. This time Ibrahim was awarded the Big Ten Player of the Week award.

It should be noted that the last time a Big Ten running back rushed for over 200 yards and 4 touchdowns in consecutive weeks was 2002. That running back was Larry Johnson.
The junior has really taken the lead running back duties and has been one of the best running backs in the Big Ten through 3 weeks. His 571 yards in 3 games leads the Big Ten, ahead of Maryland’s Jake Funk who has 336. His 10 touchdowns is obviously also leading the conference with a couple other backs tied for second with 4.
Truly an historic, early season run for Ibrahim. For his Gopher career, this is the first Big Ten Player of the Week award for Ibrahim, who also won a Big Ten Freshman of the week back in 2018.
