It was a fairly low key week for former Gophers in the NFL. One really nice defensive performance and a lot of just going about their work in non-flashy ways. Here is our recap of how the former Minnesota Golden Gophers performed in Week 11 in the NFL and a look ahead to Week 12.
Maxx Williams— Tight End— Arizona Cardinals
Week 12 @ New England Patriots
Week 13 vs Los Angeles Rams
Williams played 53 snaps in Arizona’s loss to the Patriots on Sunday. Williams was targeted twice and he caught both balls for a total of ten yards in the game.
De’Vondre Campbell—Linebacker—Arizona Cardinals
Week 12 @ New England Patriots
Week 13 vs Los Angeles Rams
Campbell played arguably his best game of the season against the Patriots on Sunday. He played 51 snaps and recorded four solo tackles and two assisted tackles, added a sack and another tackle for loss on back to back plays.
Chris Streveler—Quarterback—Arizona Cardinals
Week 12 @ New England Patriots
Week 13 vs Los Angeles Rams
Streveler did not see any game action in Week 12.
Eric Murray-Safety Houston Texans
Week 12 @ Detroit Lions (Thanksgiving)
Week 13 vs Indianapolis Colts
Murray played 78 snaps against the Lions on Thanksgiving recording one solo tackle and two assisted tackles in the win.
Damien Wilson—Linebacker—Kansas City Chiefs
Week 12 @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Week 13 vs Denver Broncos (SNF)
Wilson had a slow week playing just 17 snaps and recording one solo and two assisted tackles in the win over Tampa Bay.
Blake Cashman—Linebacker—New York Jets
Week 12 vs Miami Dolphins
Week 13 vs Las Vegas Raiders
Cashman played 12 special teams snaps and recorded one tackle in the loss to the Dolphins, but also appeared to hurt his hamstring and is questionable for the game against the Raiders this weekend. However, if he does play he will have a sexy set of spikes while promoting a former teammate:
Proud to support Team One Four Fund for Osteosarcoma cancer research. It’s an honor to represent an elite man, friend, and teammate who has beaten this cancer 5 times. He truly is a beacon of light and hope for every person battling cancer #wtd #MyCauseMyCleats #NFL pic.twitter.com/885GpNglwD

Antoine Winfield Jr. —Safety—Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Week 12 vs Kansas City Chiefs
Week 13 BYE
Winfield played 78 defensive snaps in the loss to KC and recorded six solo and two assisted tackles.
Tyler Johnson-WR-Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Week 12 vs Kansas City Chiefs
Week 13 BYE
Johnson played just five snaps in the loss to Kansas City and was targeted once but did not catch the pass. He wanted a pass interference call on the play but did not get it.
Carter Coughlin-LB-New York Giants
Week 12 @ Cincinnati Bengals
Week 13 @ Seattle Seahawks
Coughlin played a season high 19 snaps in the win over the Bengals and recorded one tackle. He had one play where he helped force a strip sack by pushing his OL into the Bengals quarterback while his teammate finished the play and got the statistical credit.
Ryan Santoso—K/P—New York Giants
Week 12 @ Cincinnati Bengals
So close, yet so far. Santoso was added to the Giants active roster off the practice squad during theie bye week when starting kicker Graham Gano was diagnosed with COVID. Unfortunately for Santoso, Gano was allowed back last Saturday and did all the kicking in the game. Santoso was on the active roster but was inactive for the game. He was released on Monday and resigned to the Giants practice squad on Wednesday.
Kamal Martin-LB-Green Bay Packers
Week 12 vs Chicago Bears (SNF)
Week 13 vs Philadelphia Eagles
Martin played just nine snaps in the Packers blowout win over Chicago on Sunday night. He made the most of it recording two solo tackles and assisted tackle as well as a sack of Mitch Trubisky. Martin got banged up late in the game against the Bears but appears ready to go this weekend against the Eagles.
Rodney Smith-RB-Carolina Panthers
Week 12 @ Minnesota Vikings
Week 13 BYE
Smith returned to Minneapolis to face the Vikings this past week and set a new career high in snaps with 15. He had seven carries for a total of 18 yards including one impressive run late in the first quarter. He also had one pass target but dropped it on the Panthers final drive of the game.
