The first round of the NCAA Tournament is in the books. We had upsets, buzzer beaters, and Virginia lost in the first round again.
Here are the results from the first round.

There were six upsets in the first round. Unfortunately, as hard as I tried, any simulation with Wisconsin losing to Vermont in the first round was so implausible for everything else that Wisconsin advanced. The Big Ten did well in general. Unfortunately for the Big Ten, two teams will drop in this round as Penn State plays Michigan State and Maryland plays Michigan.
