SBN Reacts: If there is football, will you go to a game?

I mean, I won’t. But I’m sure some of you will.

Penn State v Minnesota

Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NCAA. Each week, we send out questions to the most plugged in Minnesota fans, and fans across the country. Sign up here to join Reacts.

Look, I still don’t think the season is happening. At least not in the fall. The professional sports who aren’t living in a bubble can’t keep their players uninfected right now and those aren’t college kids with college kid approaches to life.

However, until anything is officially official, a question worth asking is how many fans will show up to a game if they can attend? Are fans eager to pack the stands?

In the most recent SB Nation Reacts survey, fans were asked if they would be open to attending a college football game in person this season. Just over 50 percent of fans said they would.

While not an overwhelming margin by any means, we’re not talking about an election here. We’re talking about fans going to games in more limited numbers. If this percentage were to apply across fanbases, you’d have to expect schools would be able to fill their socially distanced and capacity limited stadiums to whatever amount they are allowed. Again, assuming there is a season.

I’m interested in what TDG readers are thinking. Vote in the poll and put your thoughts in the comments below!
