The P.J. Fleck pizza pre-game speech you needed today

No football. Thanksgiving football. January football. Spring football. All of these are less happy than a regular ol’ Gophers Football season in a world not ravaged by an infectious virus.

Thankfully the marketing team at Red’s Savoy Pizza was looking for a way to invigorate pizza buyers in the midst of the COVID doldrums. And who better to team up if you want potential customers to run through a brick wall buy your pizza than head football coach P.J. Fleck?

Is it “Don’t be afraid to be a legend?” No. But these are the days of COVID, we’ll take what we can get. Plus, the P.J.’s thing is /chef’s kiss.

My one problem with this ad is Coach Fleck’s pizza order. Green olives Coach? Not elite.
