We have reached the end of the NFL season. It was a fairly successful one for former Minnesota Gophers as a record seven NFL rookies saw some game action this fall. Hopefully some will even win some season end awards. Here is our recap of how the former Minnesota Golden Gophers performed in Week 17 in the NFL and a look ahead to who is still playing in the playoffs
Maxx Williams— Tight End— Arizona Cardinals
Week 17 @ Los Angeles Rams
Maxx played 27 snaps in the Cardinals loss to the Rams which ended their season. He did not record any stats.
De’Vondre Campbell—Linebacker—Arizona Cardinals
Week 17 @ Los Angeles Rams
Campbell played 42 snaps and recorded one assisted tackle and a pass breakup in the Cardinals season ending loss.
Chris Streveler—Quarterback—Arizona Cardinals
Week 17 @ Los Angeles Rams
With Kyler Murray hurt Streveler tried to get his team into the playoffs with a win in Week 17. It didn’t go great. Streveler played 28 offensive snaps and went 11-16 for 105 yards passing and ran three times for 12 yards. He threw two touchdowns....but unfortunately only one was to his own team as the other was taken back for a pick 6 by the Rams.
Eric Murray-Safety Houston Texans
Week 17 vs Tennessee Titans
Murray missed his second straight game with COVID.
Damien Wilson—Linebacker—Kansas City Chiefs
Week 17 vs Los Angeles Chargers
Playoffs Week 1: Bye
After missing three games with a knee injury Wilson returned in Week 17 and played 46 snaps for KC. He recorded four solo tackles and one assisted tackle and will now get ready for the Divisional playoffs in a week.
Blake Cashman—Linebacker—New York Jets
Week 17 @ New England Patriots
Cashman remains on IR with a hamstring injury and is done for the season.
Antoine Winfield Jr. —Safety—Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Week 17 vs Atlanta Falcons
Playoffs Week 1 @ Washington Football Team
Winfield did the best he could to try and lock up NFL Defensive Rookie fo the Year honors last weekend playing 69 snaps, recording five solo tackles, two assisted tackles, one pass defense, and recovered a fumble. He will now face the other main contender for defensive rookie of the year in the playoofs against Chase Young and the Washington Football Team.
Tyler Johnson-WR-Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Week 17 vs Atlanta Falcons
Playoffs Week 1 @ Washington Football Team
Johnson played 18 snaps and was targeted twice catching one pass for 18 yards in the Bucs win.
Carter Coughlin-LB-New York Giants
Week 17 vs Dallas Cowboys
Coughlin played just 11 snaps and didn’t record a stat in his season finale against Dallas.
Kamal Martin-LB-Green Bay Packers
Week 17 @ Chicago Bears
Playoffs Week 1; Bye
Martin played 11 defensive snaps and didn’t record a stat in the Packers regular season finale. He and the Pack get a week off before the divisional playoff game.
Rodney Smith-RB-Carolina Panthers
Week 17 vs New Orleans Saints
With the top two running backs out for Carolina Rodney was the #1 back in the regular season finale. He took advantage playing 39 offensive snaps, rushing 10 times for 40 yards, and catching one pass for four yards. He would fin the end zone scoring his first NFL Touchdown as well!

Chris Williamson-DB—Atlanta Falcons
Williamson signed a NFL futures contract with the Falcons earlier this week meaning he will start the 2021 season in camp with the Falcons and participate in all the offseason activities as well.
