Week 6 for the former Gophers in the NFL was a mixed bag. Rashod Bateman finally made his NFL debut and showed some serious promise. Injuries were an issue once again, and the practice squads are filling up over the active rosters once again. Below is an update on how the ex- Minnesota Gophers in the NFL did this past week and a preview of this week’s games.
Maxx Williams— Tight End— Arizona Cardinal
Season Over—Injured Reserve
Maxx was officially placed on injures reserve with a season ending knee injury last week. He did tweet out thanks to everyone for reaching out to him after his injury.
I just want to say thank you to everyone who has reached out with support! Your thoughts and prayers mean more to me and my family then words can explain! This is just a speed bump not a road block for my career! Looking forward to being back and stronger next year!

Hopefully whatever the extent of the injury he can heal up and be ready to go for the start of next season with Arizona.
Chris Streveler—Quarterback—Arizona Cardinals
Week 6 @ Cleveland Browns
Week 7 vs Houston Texans
Streveler was inactive as the third QB for Arizona last weekend and did not dress for the game.
Eric Murray-Safety Houston Texans
Week 6 @ Indianapolis Colts
Week 7 @ Arizona Cardinals
Murray for the third week in a row was limited to just special teams action playing 18 snaps against the Colts and not recording a stat in the loss. He may see some defensive action this week against Arizona after some injuries to other members of the Texans defense last weekend.
Damien Wilson—Linebacker—Jacksonville Jaguars
Week 6 vs Miami Dolphins
Week 7 Bye
Damien Wilson had his best game of the season helping the Jags to their first win of the season over Miami in London. Wilson played 51 defensive snaps and five special teams snaps recording nine solo tackles and three assisted tackles.
De’Vondre Campbell—Linebacker—Green Bay Packers
Week 6 @ Chicago Bears
Week 7 vs Washington Football Team
Campbell had what qualifies for a quiet game for him this season in the Packers win in Chicago. Campbell played all 61 defensive snaps and added one special teams snap recording four solo tackles and two assisted tackles.
Blake Cashman—Linebacker—New York Jets
Week 6 BYE
Week 7 @ New England Patriots
Cashman and the Jets had their bye last week and head up to Foxboro this week for a division game against the Patriots.
Antoine Winfield Jr. —Safety—Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Week 6 @ Philadelphia Eagles (TNF)
Week 7 vs Chicago Bears
Winfield unfortunately did not clean concussion protocol with the short week and a Thursday night game against the Eagles and missed his second game in a row. He still had not been cleared to return to action as of Tuesday and has to be questionable at this point to miss his third game in a row.
Tyler Johnson-WR-Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Week 6 vs Philadelphia Eagles (TNF)
Week 7 vs Chicago Bears
Johnson’s action was limited against the Eagles on Thursday night. He played just 12 offensive snaps with nine more on special teams. He did not record a stat, and was bit targeted once by Tom Brady.
Carter Coughlin-LB-New York Giants
Week 6 vs Los Angeles Rams
Week 7 vs Carolina Panthers
Coughlin saw about the same work as he did in Week 5. He played 12 defensive snaps and 26 special teams snaps and recorded one solo tackle and an assisted tackle. .
Benjamin St. Juste—CB—Washington Football Team
Week 6 vs Kansas City Chiefs
Week 7 @ Green Bay Packers
Benjamin St. Juste saw his workload increase in his second game back from a concussion. He played 40 defensive snaps and 11 special teams snaps recording two solo tackles in the loss to the Chiefs.
Rashod Bateman—WR—Baltimore Ravens
Week 6 vs Los Angeles Chargers
Week 7 vs Cincinnati Bengals
Welcome to the NFL Rashod Bateman! Finally making his NFL debut after missing the first five weeks with a groin injury Bateman played 45 offensive snaps for the Ravens. He was targeted six times by Lamar Jackson hauling in four catches for 29 yards. Three of his catches moved the chains for the Ravens including the one below. He will hopefully see even more action this week against the Bengals
Highlight: Former #Gophers receiver Rashod Bateman had four receptions in his NFL debut with the Ravens on Sunday. Each went for a first down, including some impressive yards-after-catch here with a stiff arm, spin and cutback to move the chains. pic.twitter.com/ozRPzVMLph

Ryan Santoso —Kicker —Detroit Lions
Week 6 vs Cincinnati Bengals
Week 7 @ Los Angeles Rams
Santoso was on the Lions protected list in Week 6 not allowing a different NFL team to poach him from the Lions practice squad, but he was not called up and did not play in the Lions loss to the Bengals. He once again is protected in Week 7 meaning he will either get called up or sit on the Lions practice squad again at least another week.
Kamal Martin—LB—Carolina Panthers
Week 6 vs Minnesota Vikings
Week 7 @ New York Giants
Martin suffered a concussion in practice last week and was inactive for the game against his hometown Vikings. Hopefully he can heal to be able to play this week against his longtime friend Carter Coughlin and the Giants.
Chris Williamson—CB—Atlanta Falcons
Week 5 vs New York Jets (London)
Week 6 Bye
Week 7 @ Miami Dolphins
Williamson and the Falcons were on bye this week. We will need to see if he will get the call up back to the active roster later this week or if the Falcons have players back from injury so that Williamson will remain on the practice squad.
Rodney Smith—RB—Free Agent
Smith remains unsigned after being cut by the Panthers last week. Unfortunately for him the Panthers messed up their roster cutting Smith before Christian McCaffrey was added to IR later in the week. Smith could have been called up for three more weeks, but the Panthers decided to move on and let Chubba Hubbard be the load back as he was against the Vikings in Week 6.
