Battle committed to George Washington out of high school and after 2 seasons is transferring. As a sophomore, Battle averaged 17.3 points, 5.2 boards and shot 35.4% from three.

As a freshman, Battle was a member of the All-rookie team in the A10 and was 3rd Team All-A10 in his sophomore year while George Washington struggled to a 5-12 season in the tough mid-major.
It is difficult to know how Battle will fit into Johnson’s system (mostly because we don’t know his system). And we also are not entirely sure about who will be returning from the current roster. But Battle is a perimeter forward with a scoring mentality and should really help in the 2 years he will have at Minnesota.
An ESPN ranking of transfers from a couple weeks ago had Battle as the 8th best potential transfer.
