Minnesota Basketball sucks, so let’s talk funny snowplow names

ALL HAIL DUCK, DUCK, ORANGE TRUCK

The Gophers just lost what feels like their 18th game in a row (it’s only been 3 weeks and 6 losses since a win over Purdue but it might as well be 6 years ago). There is no more joy in Dinkytown. Which means today I am most decidedly not going to talk about basketball.

I’m going to talk about snowplows.

MnDOT just released the results of their 2021 Name a Snowplow contest and I’m pretty pleased by some of the results.

All of them are pretty good, but I’m especially happy about the following:

For intellectual stimulation plus “one of us” ego fluffing: F. Salt Fitzgerald

For the little kid in me: Duck, Duck, Orange Truck

For sheer Minnesotan-ness: Ope, Just Gonna Plow Right Past Ya

I think to cheer us all up, we need a poll of our own. What new snowplow name will reign supreme as the TDG Champion?
