It wasn’t pretty, but did really expect anything else?

This was a game we never expected to be competitive, and it wasn’t. Ohio State beat he Gopher’s 37-3. The #2 team in the country set themselves up for another classic battle with their rival Michigan for the Big Ten East title and the driver’s seat to a college football playoff berth.

The Gophers were only down 13-0 at the half, but the second half was all Ohio State.

The Buckeyes scored on the first play of the half when TreVeyon Henderson went 75 yards for a touchdown. That was followed by a Gopher fumble on the next play, which led to a Marvin Harrison Jr. touchdown three plays later. A two-score game became a 27-0 hole very quickly.

Early in the 4th quarter Ohio State was playing backups at key positions and the game was essentially over.

Up next is a matchup with Wisconsin at home. The Axe is on the line as well as bowl eligibility.
