Can the Gophers win the Axe, get back to .500 and guarantee a bowl game?
How to Watch
Should be a great game on this frigid afternoon, but here is how Minnesota keeps the Axe.
- Bring back old Athan - Maybe Athan Kaliakmanis’s best game as a gopher was last season in Madison. Can he rekindle that Badger-beating magic?
Do we get Darius? - Getting freshman phenom, Darius Taylor would be a huge boost in this game. Would love to see him run all over the Badger defense.Nevermind, he’s out
- No big plays!! - This defense has at times looked elite and other times it looks like 6A state champ Centennial could score on them. Just don’t allow big plays and let this Badger offense make mistakes.
OPPOSING PLAYERS TO WATCH
- #0 RB - Braelon Allen - Talented back with big-play ability. He’s been up and down this year, but he’s capable of having a big day (let’s pray one of our linebackers are ready to go).
- #2 CB - Ricardo Hallman - Five interceptions on the season and it would be ideal if that number doesn’t change after this game.
I think this is a Gopher win today and the season is salvaged. The Badgers are kind of a mess as they are transitioning under a new coach. Minnesota is also kind of a mess, but I think they know what to do to be Wisconsin.
Minnesota - 23
Wisconsin - 16
