Ohio RB Sieh Bangura to transfer to Minnesota

More reinforcements for the Gophers’ ground game

Ohio running back Sieh Bangura announced Tuesday after his recent official visit that he will be transferring to Minnesota. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.

As a redshirt sophomore this season, Bangura led the Bobcats with 178 carries for 811 rushing yards and seven touchdowns. His breakout season came as a redshirt freshman, when he rushed for 1,078 yards and 13 touchdowns. Bangura is a huge addition to the Gophers’ running backs room next season, where he’ll be expected to help Darius Taylor carry the load.
