Scouting Report

Kissayi recorded 33 total tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, and two pass break-ups last season. Obviously, his length and frame at 6’7” are what stand out at first glance. But as a former quarterback who has found a new home as an edge rusher, he also has a high football IQ. His dad played semi-pro soccer in Morocco, so athleticism runs in the family. His long arms and intriguing athletic background are likely what caught the eye of Minnesota defensive line coach Winston DeLattiboudere. Once he starts to develop his technique as a defensive end, Kissayi could be a difference maker on the edge for the Gophers.
